Orange’s new customer experience store in Milton Keynes has become the first retail installation of the new Samsung Ultra Thin Bezel LCDs videowall.
Integrators Fujitsu worked with videowall experts PSCo to deliver a 4x4 videowall using the latest LCD technology from Samsung. The 46” screens each this measures over 4 metres in width and nearly 2.5 metres high and customers in the store can interact at close range with the screens.
The interactive Mexican wave, designed by London based digital content company Poke is an exciting feature that really improves the customer experience. Visitors to the store have the opportunity to be videoed on a phone instore, doing their best Mexican wave, which is then uploaded to the wall.
Fujitsu integrated the screen as part of a large installation in the store which included a comprehensive EPOS system, training area, game playing area and a 70” Samsung display at the front of the store.
J eff Boucher of Fujitsu explained; “We have been working with Orange on instore IT installations for the past 5 years but this project presented new challenges in terms of lead times, kit delivery and installation on site.
“We had never before attempted a wall with this quantity of screens and complexity of acoustics and but the support received from PSCo’s project team and skills of their technical team meant the installation was completed in time for the store opening.”
The Samsung UT range is a modular ultra thin bezel LCD, enabling the creation of seamless video walls. Perfect for in store use.
