The sourcing of products from the Far East has become an option for millions of companies. Irrespective of the type of product, you would be hard pushed not to be able to find a factory somewhere in China that can make it. However, the obvious problem with such a vast choice is quality. CE marking is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation. It shows that the product, the way it is assembled and the components used, are all of a good standard. By affixing the CE marking on a product, a manufacturer is declaring, on his sole responsibility, conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking. With more and more UK event suppliers looked upon favourably by European organisers due to high standards and good practice, having the CE marking on products used in the live events industry is imperative.

“Four years ago LED display products were still extremely expensive. Some of the Mitsubishi ranges were around £40,000 per m2, which was pricing a lot of event organisers out of the market. Increased manufacturing competition has helped, but it was vital we explored the quality of these products in as much detail as possible. Once we had identified a manufacturer that was producing to the right standard, at a competitive price, with a strong investment in R&D,we then put our own quality control in place to ensure we retained direct oversight of the entire production process to protect our customers.”
The result is a range of super high resolution LED products that Stuart feels will give UK and European event organisers access to the latest and most innovative display systems they want but at a price they can now afford.
